• Compilation Financial Statements – a compilation of data from the client used to put together financial statements for management’s review and analysis. A Compilation Engagement Report is appropriate when no assurance is required over the numbers reported.
• Reviewed Financial Statements – through inquiry and analysis, financial statements are prepared for management and its intended users. Reviewed statements may be requested by a lender or another third party that is requesting some assurance over the numbers reported.
• Audited Financial Statements – through testing of source documents, along with inquiry and analysis, financial statements are prepared for management and its intended users. Audited statements may be requested by a lender or another third party that is requesting assurance over the numbers reported. An audited financial statement is the highest level of assurance that can be provided.
• Other Assurance Engagements – including engagements such as an audit of a specific section or account in the financial statements, trust audits, or reports on compliance with agreements, statutes and regulations.
